A LAZY AFTERNOON (1)
Claire lives in the countryside quite a long way from Paris. She is also a dedicated barefooter, but it is not easy to practice when you live in a small village when everybody knows you... The solution she found was to take an afternoon from time to time to visit Paris and to leave her shoes at the train station. This way she can lazy around with no constraints!

Having gotten rid of her shoes for the day, in the abovementionned way, Claire is now free to visit Paris with no such nasty constraint !. She exercises her new freedom by exploring every inch of the historical center of Paris, the Ile de la Cité.

A rainy day
When Caroline came to the shooting, she was a bit worried about the dark clouds coming towards us and asked if I'd rather postpone the session. I replied that provided my camera stayed dry, I would not mind her at all barefooting under the rain... It was not a particularly warm day, so I think she was not unhappy when the sun came back at the end of our session (as you can see with the smile on her face in the last picture) !

A nature class (part 1)
Stephanie is preparing a master degree in botanics. She is also a keen barefooter. So the obvious thing to do was to accompany her in one of her plant specimen collecting session.
I was amazed by her ability of walking barefoot all around this muddy forest, including on an old tree trunk. You will see by yourself in a few weeks the resulting state of her soles in the part 2 of this set ...

I was walking alongside the river Seine, late in the morning this summer, when my eyes where caught by a barefoot girl coming out of a boat which was anchored nearby. Karen had a bright red skirt matching exactly the red of the varnish on her toenails. We took quite a few pictures. She promised me to pose again for me in future.

As promised, Lisa accepted to do another shoot after her working hours. It was a really hot day, so we settled for a park. She came barefoot in a short black dress, which looked a bit unusual in a park. She did not account for the fact the sand felt even hotter than the pavement!

Forgeting her shoes (part 1)
Claire has agreed to pose for a new shoot. This time she was busy so she suggested we meet in a park near to where she lives. She arrived barefoot with a heavy blue bag where she had all her shopping. I asked about her shoes. She replied she left them home . That was just as well as she had to barefoot all afternoon in this rocky park. This way she had no other alternative. She did not seem to mind anyway...

Claire has always amazed me by her ability to walk barefoot in all sorts of situations. Whether she walks on grass, gravel, or soil, she always seems to do it with some kind of detachment. That is not the only thing that amazed me anyway, as you already noticed she has quite lovely feet and legs as well...

A mid-morning break
Christine works in a posh fashion house in the west of Paris. She sometimes takes a break in the morning and has a little walk around the block where she works. Quite often then she also tends to forget her shoes in her office...
This is actually where I met her, intrigued by the contrast between her most classic dress and her lovely bare feet on the cold pavement of that rather chilly spring morning. She agreed to let me take a few pictures of her in a fashion show style.
